The Fear Feaster - Altar of Abhorrence [Raid]

Raid Zone: Altar of Abhorrence
Waypoint: approx. -403.42, -1.29, 404.36 (travels)

The Fear Feaster pops when all the stirges in the main courtyard are killed. It is important for the raid to work from the entrance towards the back of the courtyard so The Fear Feaster isn't popped inadvertently.

Special Notes:

  • Fear Feaster will occasionally fear a raid member.
  • There is an occasional knock back.
  • Fear Feaster spawns eggs on a random raid member.
    • If these eggs are not killed quickly, they will spawn an epic x4 stirge trash add.
    • The stirge add has heavy AE damage.
Strategy:

All raid members (except the main tank) are going to wedge themselves against the pot and the wall. You are to stay stacked at all times!

Everyone except the main tank (and off tanks if applicable) is to place their ass against the wall. That includes healers, DPS, and utility. Again: You are to stay stacked at all times!

But I want to be a special little snowflake! Can I stand out here?

Hell no. Why? Eggs. That's why. Those eggs I mentioned earlier spawn on a random person. It's not called out in the game text and there isn't any fancy red text either. It just randomly spawns and you have to guess where it is. If it is out of view of your MA, then that annoying turd is gonna hatch and you're going to get an add on your raid. Most raid forces can contend with multiple adds, but why make the fight longer when you don't have to?

But I can't see! Can I stand up here instead?

Let me think about that. Hm. No, no, and hell no. Again, for the same reason I mentioned above. Standing up there means an egg can spawn up there, and even if the MA can get a target, that doesn't mean the DPS will be able to see the target to blast it down. So if you get knocked up there, get down. The fight is boring anyway, so there isn't much to see.

If you get feared, get back in position ASAP. Other than that, it's a straight burn. Easy peasy.
